The Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy (MCEA) recently engaged the services of Tech Guru. MCEA works with government agencies, the Legislature, and the courts to set sound environmental policy, to ensure good laws are enacted, and to enforce the law when needed.
Facing technology issues that may be similar to your company’s, MCEA wanted to address them before they resulted in downtime for the advocacy organization. Chronic poor computer performance was slowing everyone down and MCEA’s email system was not meeting the needs of the highly mobile workforce.
Seeing the way Google Apps had transformed the workplace for their other IT clients, Tech Guru recommended the serivce to MCEA. Tech Guru executed a Google Apps migration, including pre- and post-project training. MCEA employees loved the accessibility to information after a complete migration of email, calendar, and contacts, and appreciated its ease of use. As an added bonus, computer performance improved when Outlook was no longer running. Tech Guru’s excellent follow-up helped ensure user adoption.
Next steps include a cloud file sharing system. MCEA staff need access to files from the Capitol to the courtroom. Tech Guru enables files to be accessible on all types of mobile devices, including tablets and smartphones, and empowers users to easily share large files with outsiders and restore file that have been accidentally deleted or overwritten.
MCEA users had been skittish about changes due to IT debacles in the past. Tech Guru took this to heart and showed the highest level of dedication by putting MCEA first. Tech Guru provided the dependable IT service MCEA had been looking for.
